The makerthon kicked off with workshops that took place one week before the event started. During the workshops, the various brands of single board computers (SBCs) were introduced, building excitement among the students. Although the ASUS workshop took place on a Sunday morning (Feb. 19), it attracted many participants. ASUS introduced the Tinker Board, including hardware and software specifications, possible practical applications and the Enterprise Award. It was a successful workshop, with the students interacting with ASUS engineers and asking a lot of questions. Some of the students who actively participated in the workshop were given Tinker Boards and encouraged to use them to create more ideas during the competition.
